Pop Champagne

For once it was what America wanted. Instead of a rematch of the 2009 World Series, it is a match up of two teams generally on the outside looking in. Hell one team had never won a playoff series. All that changed Friday night when the Texas Rangers ousted the New York Yankees in six games. Follow that with the Giants road victory in Philadelphia some 24 hours later and you've got a Fall Classic with two teams known less for winning and more for whiny superstars (looking at you Barry and A-Rod) and years of failure.

Parody is what every league looks for and this year, regardless of the outcome, a suprise champion will be crowned. And that's the way it ought to be.
